We've had a very busy day today. We met the bus for the Hoover Dam Tour at 7:00 AM.
It was very hot. They told us upon arriving at the dam the tempeture was 92 degrees and they expected it to get into triple digits at the dam.
We all enjoyed Hoover Dam Exhibit which told all about how the dam was built and the energy it generates. Here we are in the exhibit itself.
There is alot of Art Deco at the dam including these winged statues. Fred, Dawn and Kevin rub the toes of one of the statues for good luck.
After we left the dam we stopped at an overlook to Lake Meade.
After lunch we toured Ethel M's Chocolate Factory. Dawn and Fred read how chocolate is made.
They gave us a sample of their chocolate.
Outside the chocolate factory was a cactus garden.
The cactus garden was impressive but by 2:00 PM it was also very, very hot! We didn't stay long.
After a three hour rest break we met at the Aladdin for dinner and window shopping. We ended the evening watching the indoor storm.
